Creative Director, Brand

R/GA is looking for a Creative Director for our Brand Group. The CD, Brand is responsible for shaping the creative direction of the work and maintaining the creative and strategic momentum of the group. The role works collaboratively with Producers, Planners, Writers, Technology and Creative Directors in order to define the brand strategy and develop the creative solution.  Externally, a CD must possess the ability to work with clients in different industries and handle different types of client relationships. Assignments require a high level of conceptual thinking in multiple phases of engagements and therefore candidates must have proven ability in the areas of narrative development, extensive visual systems and experience design. Leadership and management qualities should also be demonstrated.  The CD must ensure that the highest standards of creativity and design excellence are maintained throughout all phases of our branding projects – conceptual, strategic and identity development as well as systematic design systems in all media.


Key Responsibilities:
• Manage and help direct internal, client focused teams during brand strategy, concept and design and development and implementation phases
• Grow and maintain cohesive and successful partnerships with clients along with other lead project team members
• Establish the conceptual and stylistic direction of the brand projects across different media and disciplines
• Inspire creative teams to develop the most innovative design solutions, from broad concept development to specific design solutions
• Lead creative and production teams to ensure feasibility of design solutions and articulate design principles and guidelines for implementation
• Help develop and deliver engaging presentations for internal and external audiences. Participate in new business efforts as requested
• Manage, mentor and train Creative staff to maintain employee retention and quality standards


Qualifications:
• Innovative approach to visual communication and solid experience in the creation of brand design systems across media
• Ability to elicit the best work from a team of designers and work in a collaborative environment. Strong delegation and decision-making skills
• Solid interpersonal capabilities along with excellent verbal, visual and written communication skills
• Comprehensive understanding of design methodologies, corporate identity/branding, user-experience/interface design, and information design
• 7 plus years of innovative design experience in a design, branding, consulting or advertising firm with multi-disciplinary clients
